한국외대 인도연구소 HK＋사업단 제5회 Asian Consortium of South Asian

□ 한국외대 인도연구소 HK＋사업단(소장 김찬완, 국제지역대학원 인도·아세안 학과 교수)은 ‘한국, 일본, 싱가포르, 태국, 베트남, 말레이시아’의 연구기관들과 인도-남아시아 지역연구 및 학술활동에 있어 더욱 긴밀한 협력 관계를 구축하고자 남아시아연구 아시아 협력체 (Asian Consortium of South Asian Studies, ACSAS)를 공동설립하고, 매년 국제학술대회를 통해 지속적으로 연구 교류하고 있습니다.

□ ACSAS 회원 기관들의 협력이 더욱 긴밀해지고, 여타 학자들의 관심도가 증가하는 가운데 인도연구소는 오는 11월 18일과 19일 양일간 ‘인도와 남아시아의 대전환: 과거, 현재, 그리고 미래 (Great Transition in India and South Asia: Past, Present, and Future)’ 라는 주제로 국제학술대회를 개최합니다.

□ 한국연구재단의 후원으로 진행되는 이번 국제학술대회는 한국외국어대학교 인문한국플러스(HK＋) 사업단 김찬완 단장의 개회사, 주한인도대사관 아밋 꾸마르 대사의 축사, 그리고 한국외국어대학교 박정운 총장의 환영사로 시작될 예정입니다. 이틀 동안 전 세계 5개국 (한국, 인도, 일본, 필리핀, 베트남)에서 활동하고 있는 18명의 인도-남아시아 지역 연구자들의 발표 및 토론으로 진행됩니다.

□ 한편 이번 국제학술대회는 인도연구소가 수행중인 <인도와 남아시아의 대전환: 과거, 현재, 그리고 미래 (Great Transition in India and South Asia: Past, Present and Future)> 이라는 한국연구재단 인문한국플러스(HK＋) 사업 연구 아젠다 일환으로 진행됩니다.

The 5th Asian Consortium of South Asian Studies (ACSAS) International Conference

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to the 5th Asian Consortium of South Asian Studies (ACSAS) International Conference, titled "Great Transition in India and South Asia: Past, Present, and Future," which will be held November 18-19, 2022 at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Seoul. As a founding member of ACSAS, the Institute of Indian Studies (IIS) in Hankuk University of Foreign Studies host this conference to explore key questions regarding India and South Asia in transition. This conference will provide a platform for discussing multilayered changes in India and South Asian countries with 18 distinguished scholars and experts from five countries. 

IIS＇s international conference aims to facilitate the exchange of perspectives and understanding of India concerning the causes and effects of linguistic, philosophical, historical, societal, political, and economic transformations in South Asia. Our two-day conference is part of our annual conference series connecting scholars, experts, and audiences interested in India and South Asia. Therefore, please mark your calendars and follow our updates on the IIS website.
