C03 Materials Design & Development
The goal of this course is to provide an understanding of the theoretical and practical considerations involved in adapting and developing second language materials. This is accomplished through two related activities; (1) theoretical beliefs and assumptions of the purposes and consequences of materials in second language teaching (2) practical experiences in adapting and developing materials.
C04 Approaches to Language Learning
The goal of this course is to introduce the developments of the last 100 years of English education methodology and the reasons why such developments occurred. This will be done by looking at how developments in second language acquisition affect theories of English education and vice versa.
C05 Storytelling
This course helps students find and train their inner storyteller. We all have the ability but perhaps not the confidence to storytell. With the help of storytelling theory and through several practical storytelling activities students will practice in class storytelling approaches and methods.
C06 English (optional)
This course is designed to enhance students' four macro-skills of English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in order to effectively use English in an academic environment.
