HUFS Global Campus was selected as a specialized e-commerce university by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and Korea SMEs and Startups Agency. The year 2020 marks the first time the Korean government designated specialized e-commerce universities, and 7 universities nationwide were selected to cultivate a total of 350 students to become e-commerce experts during a one-year program.
The Department of GBT (Global Business & Technology) opened a course—Global E-commerce Practicum (3 credits, P/F)—which will be offered in the first and second semester. The course is offered to all HUFS students who will learn about online export business and marketing through practical training for global e-commerce platforms, such as Amazon.com.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups plans to support graduates of the practicum to become e-commerce experts by connecting them with government-related projects, which is an opportunity not to be missed by students with interest in this field.
The specialized e-commerce university MOU signing ceremony was held on January 29, 2020, which was attended by HUFS Global Campus Vice President Cho Ki-Seong, Department of GBT Professor Jeon Jong-Geun (Head of Practicum), and Professor Lee Jeong (Faculty Advisor). Students for the first semester of the practicum have been selected; 98 students applied for 25 slots. The second semester applications will be offered in June through the university homepage.
