Dual Master’s Degree Program

Overview

The Graduate School of TESOL of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS; Seoul, Korea) and the College of Education of Temple University (Temple; Philadelphia, PA, USA) established a dual Master’s degree program.

Students begin this program at HUFS and take the four required courses (first semester), complete the six required courses at Temple (second and third semesters), and return to HUFS to take additional courses and write a thesis or portfolio (fourth and fifth semesters). Note that those who are required to take prerequisite courses need an additional semester at HUFS at the beginning of the program.

Admission requirements and application

Initial admissions to the dual Master’s degree program are handled by HUFS. Students are eligible to apply for the program once they begin their studies at HUFS.

Requirements:

     ● First semester registration (for those who are NOT required to take prerequisite courses) or second semester registration
       (for those who are REQUIRED to take prerequisite courses)
     ●A minimum TOEFL iBT score of 90
     ●A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

 

Application:
 
     ●Submit an application form to the GS TESOL office by email (tesolgs@hufs.ac.kr) between March 29 and April 2 (by 8 pm).

     ●Interviews will be scheduled between April 12 and April 16. Further details on the process and schedule will be 
       notified individually.
