The HUFS Jean Monnet EU Centre (Director Sihong Kim) attended the EUSA Asia Pacific annual academic conference held at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand on June 29-30. This year＇s main theme was "Twenty-Five years of EU research in the Indo-Pacific: challenges, changes, prospects", attended by about 100 scholars from Asia and Europe.

HUFS Jean Monnet EU Centre organized an independent session to look back on the 60th anniversary of Korea-EU and look at future plans. Both Korea and the EU have doubled trade and economic relations through free trade agreements based on a strategic partnership, and recently are keeping close pace in security cooperation centering on the Indo-Pacific. The session was moderated by Director Si-Hong Kim, with presentations and discussions by Managing Director Bong-Chul Kim, Moo-Sung Lee of Myongji University, Sung-Won Yoon of University of Suwon, and Sae-Won Chung of Pukyong National University.

In the graduate student panel, doctoral student Eui-chan Shin, master＇s student Gyu-rim Seong, and master＇s student Min-sub Shim of the HUFS Graduate School of International and Area Studies participated in the presentations. The next tournament in 2024 will be held in Indonesia.
