HUFS-HRI EU Centre delegation led by Professor Kim Si-Hong  (Director of HUFS-HRI EU Centre) participated in ‘Asia-Pacific EU Centres Graduate Research Workshop’ organized by The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University in Melbourne, Australia On February 17-18, 2014.

This event was supported by all the EU Centers in Asia Pacific Region. Graduate Students (Masters as well as PhD students) were first selected by each Center and then participated in the final competition-format contest that took place in Melbourne. 26 students presented their work under common topic  ‘The EU in the 20th Century’ and each presentation was followed by Question and Answer s session.

Two graduate Students from EU Department at Graduate School of International and Area Studies – Choi Tae ra and Hong Seongeun represented HUFS-HRI EU Centre. Choi Tae ra delivered a presentation titled: ‘A European Identity in terms of politics: how it matters for the deeper integration’ while Hong Seongeun presented under topic: ‘Reducing Early School Leaving under Europe 2020 Strategy’.

During award ceremony conducted after all presentations, Choi Tae ra who represented HUFS – HRI EU Centre was awarded as one of the winners.
