The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Justice in the Republic of Korea suggest that all the international students in this country MUST make the medical insurance contract.

 

According to their guideline, we, the graduate school office in HUFS, notify all the international students for the way you can register for medical insurance like following;

 

1. Subjects : All the international students who are now enrolled or leaving of absence for a while.

2. Since 2015 Spring semester, all the int’l students MUST make medical insurance contract.

3. Type of Medical Insurance : National Health Insurance OR Private Insurance that offers treatment of illness.

**”Private Insurance that offers treatment of illness” means the insurance which offers any cost for consultation, treatment, prescription or hospitalization.

**If you already have the medical insurance which offers the benefit in this country as well as in your own country DURING staying in Korea, you can use your insurance.

4. KGSP students don’t have to register because they already have insurance for international students.

5. How to register : Please visit Graduate School office and you can get information for registering the medical insurance

 

If you do not register Medical Insurance, you may get some disadvantages when you borrow the books in library or trying to issue any certificates.
