The Centre held its third special lecture with HE, Sergio Mercuri, Ambassador of Italy to Korea, about the meaning of Italian reunification over the last 150 years. This lecture was hosted by the Italian department of HUFS and attended by 100 undergraduate and postgraduate students l who were interested in Italy.

According to Ambassador Mercuri, we need to understand the Italian reunification in the 19^th century as an important phase in Italian history. As he pointed out, in the true sense of the term; reunification completely changed the government system to a republic in 1945 after World War Two. After the lecture, he answered questions about problems related to differences between various regions and also about studying in Italy.
