The Centre held its 8^th special lecture with Mr. Christian Berger, Director for North Africa, Middle East, Arab Peninsula, Iraq and Iran at the European Union External Action Service, about “EU Policy toward the Middle East”. During the lecture, Mr. Christian Berger, explained the historical background of Europe’s foreign policy toward the Middle East and its major activity content of the EU External Action Service. Especially the lecture was insightful because the lecture dealt with recent topic of Arab Spring occurred in the Middle East. So the lecturer gave information about the EU’s new policy related to the Arab Spring in the Middle East.

After the lecture, participants including 40 of master’s and Doctor’s degree course raised lots of questions related to the EU’s foreign policy trend toward other region such as Asia or America.
