[북한인권정보센터 NKDB] SDGs 세미나

저희 북한인권정보센터(NKDB)는 2018년부터 인권과 유엔 지속가능발전목표(SDGs)의 연관성을 연구하고 있으며, SDGs를 북한 주민의 인권 증진을 위한 대북 교류 도구로서 모색하고 있습니다. NKDB는 SDGs를 북한과 적용하는 데 있어 가장 큰 장애물 중 하나는 이용 가능한 데이터가 부족하다는 것을 연구를 통해 발견했습니다. 이를 해결하기 위해 NKDB는 17개 SDGs에 대해 북한 정부가 보도하고 있는 내용을 열람할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 북한이탈주민들의 목소리를 듣고 다른 이해관계자들의 연구를 통해 북한의 SDGs 이행을 모니터링할 수 있는 ＇북한 SDGs＇ 웹사이트를 만들었습니다. 

NKDB는 새로운 웹사이트 개설을 기념하여 2022년 2월 21일 한국프레스센터에서 열리는 컨퍼런스에 여러분을 초대하고자 합니다. 이 컨퍼런스에서는 웹사이트를 개설과 더불어 북한에 대한 애드보커시(advocacy) 및 관여(engagement) 수단으로서 SDGs에 대한 토론을 진행할 예정입니다.

Since 2018, NKDB has been researching the linkages between human rights and SDGs; and exploring the SDGs as a tool to engage with North Korea to improve the human rights of the North Korean people. Through its research NKDB saw that one of the largest obstacles to utilizing the SDGs to engage North Korea is the lack of data available. To address this , NKDB has created the ‘North Korea SDGs’ Website, where users can see not only what the North Korean government is reporting about the 17 SDGs but also hear the voices of North Korean escapees and monitor the SDGs through other stakeholders’ research.

In celebration of launching its new website, NKDB would like to cordially invite you to a conference on February 21, 2022 at the Korea Press Center, where we will be launching the website and hosting a discussion on the SDGs as a tool for advocacy and engagement with North Korea.
