On July 1st, HUFS Jean Monnet EU Centre in cooperation with the European Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ECCK) successfully hosted an academic symposium on the topic of “EU-Korea-What the Future Will Bring”.

Professor and Director of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence Si-Hong Kim opened the symposium, followed by speeches from the Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Korea H.E. Maria Castillo Fernandez, SNU Institute for Future Strategy Amb. Hyoung-Zhin Kim.

The panel discussion that followed was moderated by Christoph Heider, President of the ECCK and included distinguished experts from Korea and Europe, namely Professor Yoo-Duk Kang, Professor Bong Chul Kim, and Professor Jina Kim from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Professor Moosung Lee from Myoungji University, Professor Ramon Pacheco Pardo from KF-VUB Korea Chair, Professor Gertjan Boulet from Belgium, and Dr Tomaz Wierzbowski from EURAXESS Korea.
