On March 21^st, the HUFS Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence (lead by Director Kim SiHong) hosted an international conference on the theme of “60 Years of EU-Korea Relations, 1963~2023: Looking Back, Looking Forward”.

This international conference, sponsored by the Hanns-Seidel Foundation in Germany and EURAXESS, invited Kim Chang-beom the former ambassador to EU, Michael Reiterer the former EU Ambassador to South Korea, Dr. Tereza Novotna (Free Univ of Berlin), Dr. Nicola Casarini (IAI and Wilson Center) and Dr. Bernhard Seliger (Hanns Seidel Foundation). It was prepared as a venue for discussion on a new paradigm of Korea-EU relations.

In particular, the book project, in which a total of 15 Korean and European experts participated, was formalized through this international conference, and the long march began with the aim of publication in December.
Kim SiHong, director of the HUFS JMCE, who organized the event, said, "We expect this book launch project sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to help South Korea＇s diplomacy toward a global hub, and the HUFS JMCE will play a role at the center."
