From October 14th to 15th, the HUFS Jean Monnet EU Centre, with the EU Delegation to ROK, and the EU Centres at Yonsei University and Korea University, hosted the 2021 Model European Union in Obama Hall.

Centre Director Kim Si Hong commenced the opening ceremony with a welcoming speech, and was followed by a keynote speech by EU Ambassador to Korea, Maria Castillo Fernandez.

The theme of this year’s competition was “Health Security.” Each member state representative stated, collected, and modified their respective opinions, and this process simulated the Council of the European Union meeting proceedings. By also conducting a press conference with reporters, the students were given the opportunity to publicise their meeting.
