인도연구소 HK＋사업단, 인도 정치외교문화 분야 석학초청특강 안내

□ 한국외국어대학교 인도연구소(소장 김찬완) 인문한국플러스(HK＋)사업단은 대외경제정책연구원(KIEP)과 한국연구재단(NRF) 지원으로 오는 2022년 11월 9일(수)부터 11월 29일(화)의 4주간에 걸쳐 매주 1회 총 4회에 걸친 인도 정치경제외교문화 관련 저명한 연사들을 초청하여 명사초청특강 시리즈를 개최합니다.

□ 강연자 소개

∎ Masudur Rahman 박사는 뉴질랜드, 중국, 일본, 베트남, 한국, 스위스, 방글라데시에서 17년 이상 근무한 국제 무역 경제학자입니다. 일본 아오야마학원대학교(靑山學院大學校)와 한국 국제경제정책연구원(KIEP)의 객원연구원을 지냈고, The Singapore Economic Review, Sustainability, South Asia Economic Journal 등을 포함한 저명한 저널과 학술지에 많은 기고를 해왔습니다. 그는 World Scientific이 발행하는 Journal of Indian and Asian Studies의 편집위원입니다. 현재 싱가포르국립대학교(National University of Singapore)의 남아시아연구소(Institute of South Asian Studies)의 방문연구원입니다.

Dr Rahman is an international trade economist by training, with over 17 years of work experience in New Zealand, China, Japan, Vietnam, Korea, Switzerland, and Bangladesh. He was a Visiting Fellow at Asia Growth Research Institute and Aoyama Gakuin University, Japan and Korea Institute for International Economic Policy, Korea. He has published extensively in several academic journals, including in the Singapore Economic Review, Sustainability, South Asia Economic Journal, Journal of Economic Structures and Journal of International Trade Law and Policy. He is an editorial board member of Journal of Indian and Asian Studies, published by World Scientific and a Visiting Research Fellow, the Institute ISAS, National University of Singapore.

∎김용식 박사는 1997년 고려대학교 경영대학원에서 국제경영을 전공하여 박사학위를 취득하였습니다. 2001년에 포스코경영연구원에 입사하여 현재 전략경영실의 수석연구원으로 재임하고 있으며, 2011년부터 2017년까지 포스코경영연구원의 델리사무소의 소장으로 근무한 실무와 이론을 겸비한 인도경제관련 국내 권위자 중의 일인입니다.

∎ Jyoti Rohilla Rana 박사는 현재 인도 베나레스힌두대학교(BHU)의 예술사학과 조교수입니다. 뉴델리 국립박물관연구소(National Museum Institute, NMI)에서 2007년 박사학위를 취득하고, 2015년부터 BHU의 조교수로 재임하고 있습니다. 불교미술, 환경과 예술, 바라나시의 예술 등의 분야에서 연구 업적을 쌓았습니다. 2016년에 저서 Sculptural Art of Amaravati를 출간하였습니다.

Dr. Jyoti Rohilla Rana is currently an assistant professor of Dept of art history at Banaras Hindu University(BHU) in India. She received his Ph.D. in 2007 from the National Museum Institute(NMI) in New Delhi, and has been an assistant professor at BHU since 2015. She have made research achievements in Buddhist art, environment and art, and the art of Varanasi. In 2016, she published her book, Sculpural Art of Amaravati.

∎ Hernaikh Singh씨는 현재 싱가포르국립대학교(National University of Singapore)의 남아시아연구소(Institute of South Asian Studies, ISAS)의 관리국 부국장으로 재직하고 있습니다. 싱가포르 정부와 비정부기구, 비즈니스 부문 및 학계에서 30년 이상의 경력을 가진 그는 ISAS의 이사장, 소장과 더불어 연구소의 전반적인 관리업무를 담당하는 행정가이자 연구자입니다. 그는 싱가포르국립대학교에서 동남아시아학을 전공하여 석사학위를 취득했습니다. 2020년에 ＇Maritime Security of ASEAN States in the Indo-Pacific: Engagement with Extra-Regional Powers’＇를 포함하여 다수의 논문과 저술을 공동 집필했습니다.

Mr. Hernaikh Singh is currently deputy director of the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS) at the National University of Singapore. As an administrator and researcher, he has more than 30 years of experience in Singapore＇s government, NGOs, business and academia, and works with the Chairman and Director in the overall management of the Institute. He holds a Master＇s degree in Art from the National University of Singapore, majoring in Southeast Asian Studies. In 2020, he co-authored a paper on ‘Maritime Security of ASEAN States in the Indo-Pacific: Engagement with Extra-Regional Powers’ for the publication.
