인도 · 남아시아 대학(원)생 논문 공모전

한국외국어대학교 인도연구소는 1995년 설립된 이래 인도를 포함한 남아시아 지역에 대한 종합적이고 체계적인 연구를 수행해오고 있습니다. 인도·남아시아 지역학에 대한 대학생대학원생들의 관심을 제고하며, 인도·남아시아 지역학의 성장을 주도할 수 있는 창의적이고 미래지향적인 청년인재를 발굴하고 학문적 발전을 장려하기 위하여 제 6회 논문 공모전을 개최합니다. 대학생•대학원생 여러분의 많은 참여 부탁드립니다.

1. 참가 자격

○ 응모기간 기준 국내외 재•휴학 학부생(4년제)/ 재•휴학 대학원생(석/박사)

○ 대학원 석/박사 수료생은 응모불가

○ 참가형태: 단독연구(개인) 또는 공동연구(3인 이하의 팀)

○ 공동연구의 응모자는 전원 응모 자격을 갖추어야 함.

2. 논문주제

○ 다음 주제 중 택일

- 인도의 대전환(Great Transition in India)

- 인도·남아시아 관련 자유주제(Free topic related to India and South Asia)

3. 공모일정

○ 응모 기간: 2023년 8월 11일 ~ 2023년 9월 29일

○ 수상자 발표 및 시상: 2023년 12월 초

(입상자 개별통보 및 인도연구소 홈페이지 공지하며, 수상자는 본 연구소의 학술대회에서 발표할 기회를 제공함)

4. 시상내역

※ 수상작 수준 등에 따라 시상내역은 변경될 수 있음.

※ 상금은 제세공과금을 제하고 지급됨.

5. 제출서류

4종(응모신청서, 재·휴학증명서, 논문, 표절검사결과확인서)

○ 응모신청서: 작성 후 모든 응모자 서명 후 스캔하여 제출

○ 재·휴학증명서(응모기간 내 발급된 증명서)

○ 논문: ‘한글’ 프로그램으로 작성, A4용지 15매(약 20,000자) 내외(요약, 본문, 참고문헌 포함)

○ 표절검사결과확인서(카피킬러 이용)

7. 유의 사항

○ 1팀(인) 1개 논문에 한하여 응모

○ 공동연구는 대표자를 응모신청서에 표시하고 시상금은 대표자에게 지급

○ 공동연구의 응모자는 전원 응모신청서, 재·휴학증명서(응모기간 내 발급된 증명서)를 제출

○ 논문은 제출기한 내에 접수하여야 함.

○ 타 기관 공모에 제출하거나, 학술지(논문집) 등 다른 간행물에 게재된 논문, 이미 발표된 학위 논문의 요약은 응모 불가

○ 논문은 표절 및 저작권에 위반되지 않아야 함(논문 시상 이후라도 연구윤리에 문제가 발생할 경우, 당선이 취소되며 상금은 환수)

○ 제출된 논문은 반환되지 않으며, 당선된 논문에 대한 저작권은 당 연구소에 귀속됨.

○ 수상자에게는 본 연구소의 학술대회에서 발표할 기회를 제공함.

○ 수상 논문 중 자격을 갖춘 논문은 심사를 거쳐서 한국연구재단 KCI 학술지인 『남아시아연구』에 게재 가능함.

The 6th

India · South Asia

Graduate/ Undergraduate Thesis Competition 

Since its establishment in 1995, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) has been conducting comprehensive and systematic research on South Asia including India. The competition aims to enhance interest to further promote academic development and discover creative and innovative students who can make contributions in the field of India and South Asian Studies. All graduate and undergraduate students are invited for participation.

1. Eligibility

- Undergraduate and Graduate (Masters, Ph.D.)

- Type of participation: Individual research or joint research (team of 3 or less)

- All joint applicants must be eligible for entry

2. Thesis topic

 Choose one of the followings:

 - Great Transition in India

 - Free topic related to India and South Asia

 3. Competition Schedule

- Application period: August 11th, 2023 to September 29th, 2023

- Announcement of winners: Early December 2023

4. Awards

※ Award details may change depending on the quality.

※ The prize money is paid after deducting the tax bills.

※ Winners will be given an opportunity to present at the institute＇s academic conference.

5. Submission documents

① Application form: It must be signed and scanned for submission

② Certificate of enrollment/leave

③ Thesis: written in ‘Hangul’ document(HWP File), PDF File, or MS Word File : Full papers up to 5000 words (excluding abstracts and references)

④ Result of plagiarism checker (using ‘Copy-Killer’ site)

 7. Notice

 - One team, one paper entry

 - Co-applicants are required to display a representative on the application form. Prize money is paid to the representative.

 - Co-applicants must submit application forms, and either certificate of enrollment or certificate of absence.

 - Thesis should be submitted within the submission period, and it is the responsibility of the applicant if the submission is not on time. (Please c○nfirm receipt of e-mail in advance, in case of network failure)

 - If the paper is already published in other publications or submitted to other institutions, it is impossible to apply again.

 - Thesis should not violate plagiarism and copyright, and citation sources should be mentioned properly. (If there is a problem in the research ethics after the thesis award, the award may be cancelled.)

 - The submitted thesis is not returned, and the copyrights for awarded articles would belong to the Institute for Indian Studies.

 - Awarded papers are reviewed and can be published in “Journal of South Asian Studies.”
