we would like to inform you that a new call for applications within the National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic is open for study, research and teaching stays during the summer semester of the academic year 2016/2017.

Scholarship application deadline is 31 October 2016 by 16:00 CET (4:00 pm Central European Time). Scholarship stays can be planned during the summer semester of the academic year 2016/2017. Applications are submitted on-line at www.scholarships.sk (international applicants).

The National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic supports mobility of international students, PhD students, university teachers, researchers and artists to stay at Slovak universities and Slovak research organisations.

You can find detailed information about the Programme at www.scholarships.sk in Slovak, English, Russian, French and Spanish language.

Scholarships of the National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic support also mobility of university students and PhD students of Slovak universities to cover their living costs during their study or research stay at a foreign university or a foreign research organisation. Students, full-time PhD students, university teachers, researchers and artists from the Slovak Academy of Sciences, who have permanent residence in the Slovak Republic, can apply for a travel grant for their study or research stay abroad.

Establishment of the National Scholarship Programme for the Support of Mobility of Students, PhD Students, University Teachers and Researchers was approved by the Government of the Slovak Republic in 2005. The National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic is funded by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic.

Next deadline for the submission of applications will be on 30 April 2017 for scholarship stays during the academic year 2017/2018.
