On August 18th, the HUFS Jean Monnet Centre (Director Kim Si-Hong) invited former Dean of Seogang University Graduate School of International Studies Professor Lee Kyu-Yong to give a distinguished lecture on “European Studies as Area Science: Methodology at the Centre.” With Seoul ASEM Institute Chairman Lee Jong-Won as moderator, the lecture was attended by Korean Political Science Association President Professor Choi Jin-Woo (Hanyang University) who led the discussion session, Professor Kim Han-Won (Kyunghee University), Kim Dae-Soon (Yonsei University), Shin Sang-Hyup (Kyunghee University), Shin Yong-Dae (Korea Institute for Industrial Economics & Trade), Kim Chan-Wan (HUFS GSIS) and more. The attendees engaged in a lively discussion on area studies methodology.
