인도연구소 HK＋사업단 명사 초청 특강 안내: India-Korea Relations in Changing Indo-Pacific

□ 한국외국어대학교 인도연구소(소장 김찬완, 국제지역대학원 인도·아세안 학과 교수) 인문한국플러스(HK＋)사업단은 오는 6월 13일(월)에 네루대학교의 산딥 미스라교수님을 모시고 명사초청특강을 개최합니다.

□ 연사 산딥 미스라 교수는 네루대학교(Jawaharlal Nehru University) 교수로 재직하고 있으며, 델리 중국학연구소(ICS)의 명예 회원이며, 뉴델리 평화 및 분쟁연구소(IPCS)의 방문 연구원입니다. IPCS의 웹사이트 잡지인 <East Asia Compass>에 월간 칼럼을 기고하고 있으며, 한국 영자신문 <Korea Times>에도 칼럼을 기고하고 있습니다.

   산딥 미스라 교수는 네루대학교에서 박사학위를 취득하였으며 연세대와 서강대에서 한국어를 공부했고, 델리대학교에서 한국학과 교수를 역임하기도 했습니다. 또 세종연구소와 김대중 도서관 등의 방문 연구원을 지냈습니다.

 연구 분야는 한국-인도 관계, 북핵 문제, 한국 정치, 동아시아와 한국 국제관계 등이며 관련된 여러 편의 논문과 챕터들을 저술하였고, <코리아타임스>, 그리고 <Indian Express>, <Financial Express>, <Pioneer>, <Statesman> 등의 인도 매체에 관련 주제의 글들을 기고하고 있습니다. “India and Republic of Korea: Growing Strategic Partnership” 등의 논문이 있습니다.

□ 이번 강연은 특히 최근 한국 정부의 교체에 따른 인도의 한국 전문가의 시각을 볼 수 있는 좋은 강연이 되리라고 생각됩니다. 한국-인도의 국제관계나 인도가 바라보는 한국 정치에 대해 관심있는 분들의 많은 참석을 부탁드립니다.

□ Institute of Indian Studies, Humanities Korea Plus Project Team (HK＋) at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) will host a special lecture by Professor Sandip Mishra, an Associate Professo of Centre for East Asian Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University on June 13th(Mon).

□ The speaker Dr. Sandip Mishra is Associate Professor at the Jawaharlal Nehru University. He is also Honorary Fellow at the Institute of Chinese Studies (ICS), Delhi and Visiting Fellow at the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies (IPCS), New Delhi. He writes a monthly column East Asia Compass at the IPCS website and another column to the Korea Times newspaper.

 He completed his Master degree in International Politics from Jawaharlal Nehru University and obtained his M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees from the same university. He studied Korean Language in Korea in 2006 and 2010 at the Yonsei University and Sogang University. He has been Visiting Fellow and Visiting Scholar at various South Korean universities and research institutes.

   He has published several articles in Indian and East Asian academic journals along with book chapters and contributed opinion articles to newspapers such as Korea Times, Times of India, Indian Express, Financial Express, Pioneer, Tribune, and Statesman.
