Dear all NEW KGSS(Korean Government Scholarship Students)

Congratulations on your successful admission to Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.

Please refer to the following schedules to get prepared to be a REAL HUFS student.

1. Dorm Check-in

   All of you have been assigned to a double room in our oncampus dormitory(Globeedorm) and you are requested to move in during our dorm check-in period, which is scheduled to be from Feb 22 ~ 27, 2010.
Assistance on dorm registration from any of our ISO resident advisors will be offered at any time upon your request. Information on how to make dorm payment will be given during the orientation.

As your room number has not been confirmed yet, you don't need to write your room number, Instead, please state clearly that you are a Korean Government Scholarship Student (정부초청장학생)

※ You are required to inform us of your planned date of arrival via email (steve@hufs.ac.kr Mr. KWON Yunki) at least two days before you leave the university where you are currently taking a Korean course.


2) Orientation

The Center for International Students in charge of the KGSS Program wil hold an orientation session as follows; Your participation is manditorily required at this meeting(including students who were admitted to the Yongin Campus)

3) Registration (Tuition Payment & Class Selection)

   All of you have been successfully registered for the 2010 Spring semester, the registration process was done by the CIS coordinator. So you don't need to print our online tuition invoice and get the scholarship certificate to make payment at a bank.

  As a regular HUFS student, you should register for courses for the 2010 spring semester on Feb. 25, 2010 using our online class system (Your HUFS ID & Password information and instruction on how to use our online system with the given ID & Passworld will be provided during the orientation)

Please note that graduate students should inquire with our graduate school office about the procedure of class registration as our graduate class registration system may differ from our undergraduate's.

4) Others

    Our office will provide you one-stop service for immigration. As you are required to change of your visa status from D-4 to D-2, you should bring the relevant documents to be applied for the process. One of them is the certificate of completion of the Korean Language course stating your final grades. The certificate of KGSS will be reissued by the NIIED and sent to our office directly from the NIIED. So you don't need to bring the certificate.
