HUFS JMCE Director Kim Si Hong invited Dr. Bernhard Seliger of the Hanns Seidel Foundation on September 25, for a seminar on the "EU-DPRK Relations". This seminar was held at the International Building, Room 113, HUFS. 

The seminar went on for about an hour, followed by an enthusiastic Q&A session from HUFS students majoring in EU. For the students, whose main source of information about North Korea were mainly news and media coverage, Dr. Seliger's seminar provided them with a new perspective for comprehending North Korea.

At the seminar, Dr. Seliger examined the humanitarian policies of the EU for North Korea, their progress and dynamics according to the North Korean regime policies. Moreover, EU's policies promoting sustationable growth and ecological preservationi offered room of cooperation between the EU and DPRK. Moreover, students could witness how these projects were actually improving North Korea's environment with visual aids.

In the Q&A session that followed, students commented on North Korea's nuclear crises, human rights issues, as well as the sustainability of the Kim regime. Moreover, the seminar received a lot of attention from the media, which was reflected in the media coverage.
