On the 30th of April 2013, Meet the EU Special Lecture was held in the Graduate School Room 407. Guest Speaker Mr Christian Berger who is the Director of the North Africa, Middle East, Arabian Peninsula, Iran and Iraq spoke about the EU Policy toward the Middle East". He stressed upon the possible cooperation in terms of country specific and regional dimensions. 

About 40 graduate students both from EU and Middle Eastern Departments attended the event and Mr Berger responded to the questions raised as to the Arab Spring, democratization process and development assistance.
