 On Friday, 25th of April, a special lecture within Meet the EU Program was delivered by Patrick Messerlin -  professor of Economics from Sciences-Po, a prestigious university in France.

Professor Messerlin stressed that since the issues of environment and water shortages have become more important in global trades, the more fundamental responses to those issues are required and the global cooperation in this aspect is essential to overcome rising environmental challenges in the globalized world.

After the lecture a Q&A session was held with undergraduate students majoring in EU and graduate students from the Graduate School of International and Area Studies. Questions and Answers' topics were mainly focused on the inherent problem of environment and the prospect of carbon transaction tax led by the EU.
