On 2 Sept, Professor Sihong Kim attended an event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Baltic Way at the Embassy of Latvia. On that day, the Ambassador of Latvia Peteris Vaivars and the Ambassador of Finland Eero Suominen attended. Start with welcome remarks by Ambassador Peteris Vaivars, a presentation on the Baltic Way and viewing a documentary film and a small talk continued. 

 The Baltic Way was a peaceful political demonstration, which took place on 23 August 1989 when about two million people joined their hands forming a 600 km long human chain through the Baltic countries, thus demonstrating their unity in their efforts towards freedom. Recently, Hong Kong protesters made 45 km long human chain inspired by the Baltic Way.
