On May 12 (Fri), the HUFS JMCE(led by Director Kin SiHong) co-hosted the Spring Academic Conference with the Korean Society of Contemporary European Studies at Korea University.

At this confernece, which was held under the theme of ‘Evaluation and Challenges for the 60th Anniversary of Korea-EU Relations’, HUFS JMCE held a session on ‘Prospects for Korea-EU Diplomacy and Security Cooperation’. Professor Jun HaeWon (Korea National Diplomatic Academy), Professor Yoon SungWon (University of Suwon), and Researcher Shin EuiChan (Hankuk University of Foreign Studies) were invited to discuss diplomatic and security cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.

In addition, Director Kim SiHong participated in a round table on the theme of ‘the past, present, and future of the 60th anniversary of Korea-EU diplomatic ties’ and emphasized the need for a strategic culture for Europe.
