This course introduces Italian culture and society in general by using text and audio-visual materials.

Elementary Italian Grammar (1), (2)
Detailed analyses on elementary-level Italian grammar enable students to become familiarized with the diverse aspects of the Italian language.

Elementary Italian Listening Comprehension(1),(2)
Students' basic listening skills are developed using audio-visual materials.

Elementary Italian Conversation (1), (2)
Students are familiarized with the most fundamental ways of expressing their opinions in daily life by learning the 300 basic sentence patterns and their usage, as well as engaging in direct and repetitive dialogue with a native Italian professor.

Elementary Italian Composition (1), (2)
Advancing on what students learned through the basic Italian course, they practice basic composition methods.

Elementary Italian Reading Comprehension(1),(2)
Students develop basic reading skills and interpretation skills by using reading materials in Italian.

Elementary Italian Translation
This course helps students become familiarized with issues and techniques related to translating Italian into Korean.

Intermediate Italian Grammar (1), (2)
Students acquire intermediary and advanced Italian grammar.

This course offers repetitive practice opportunities for precise pronunciation and communication. Students repetitively practice correct listening and speaking.

Based on Italian language skills acquired in their freshman year, students develop intermediate conversational skills.

Students, who have learned elementary-level Italian, learn intermediate grammar and practice composition based on basic sentence patterns.

Italian Reading Comprehension (1), (2)
By reading and comprehending short stories and famous sentences in Italian, students gain knowledge of the language in general.

Elementary Italian Interpretation
Students familiarize themselves with basic techniques of Korean-into-Italian and Italian- into-Korean interpretation.

Advanced Italian Conversation (1), (2)
Goes beyond audio-visual or lab practice to focus on discussion of more in-depth and complicated subject matter.

History of Italian Literature
Studies the different literary periods, thoughts, and writers of Italian literature from its origin to the early 18th century as a basis for studying Italian literature.

Studies of Italian Novels
Of the Italian literary works, the course focuses on novels for understanding their artistic trends, themes, styles, and contemporary influence.

Italian Poetry
Students will read the poetry of leading Italian poets and develop skills required to understand and analyze it. Students will also learn the techniques required for poetry analysis, and use these techniques to research the contents and formats of different poems.

History of Italian
This course focuses on the origin and development process of Italian from a diachronic perspective.

History of Italy
Reviews the history of Italy from post- Middle Ages to Unification to the modern era.

Studies of Italian Politics & Society
Examines Italian socio-political phenomena from a theoretical perspective.

Italian FLEX (1), (2)
This is a course that is designed to prepare students for the FLEX test in tandem with the implementation of the foreign language certification system. Students gain knowledge on how to improve their Italian skills.

Seminar on Italian Linguistics
Course lectures will focus on theories and pragmatics of Italian linguistics in general, rather than on a specific area.

Seminar on Italian Culture
This course takes an in-depth look and studies the theoretical, methodological characteristics of Italian cultural phenomena from the perspective of cultural research.

This course focuses on basic elements of the Italian language, such as its phonetics, phonology, morphology, and syntax.

Italian Modern Literature
Focuses on understanding the literary trend of the 19th century Italian Romanticism with a spotlight on the effect the Risorgimento Movement of the age had on national consciousness. Studies the literary worlds of such representative writers as Leopardi and Manzoni to gain an understanding of modern Italian literature.

Readings in History of Italian Thought
