Elementary Hungarian (A/V) (1), (2)
Uses various audio-visual materials to acquire accurate pronunciation and basic oral skills by listening and repeating simple sentences.

Elementary Hungarian Grammar & Composition (1), (2)
Studies basic Hungarian grammar and practices its application in writing.

Practice in Elementary Hungarian Translation(1),(2)
Acquires fundamental skills in Hungarian- Korean translation through practicing beginning level translation based on basic vocabulary.

Elementary Hungarian Conversation (1), (2)
Based on the knowledge of elementary-level Hungarian the cogrammar, urse develops oral communication skills in a variety of life settings.

Introduction to Hungarology (1), (2)
Examines the fundamental characteristics and trends of Hungarian history, society, culture, language, politics, and economics needed for Hungarian regional studies.

Intermediate Hungarian Grammar & Composition (1), (2)
Reinforces Hungarian grammar and writing skills. Works with a variety of texts on Hungarian culture, history, and society to promote understanding of the language as a whole.

Practice in Intermediate Hungarian Translation (1), (2)
Offered for students who have completed the elementary level translation course. Develops the ability to analyze, translate, and summarize a variety of Hungarian text content.

Intermediate Hungarian Conversation (1), (2)
Based on knowledge of elementary-level Hungarian grammar, the course practices conversational Hungarian applicable not only in daily life situations but also in specialized fields.

History of Hungarian Culture
Studies the Hungarian literary trend in a historical context. Consists of reading selected works by period and by genre such as poetry, novels, prose, and drama.

Advanced Hungarian Grammar
Based on a comprehensive and systematic analysis of Hungarian grammar, students will develop skills required to understand advanced Hungarian sentences and texts.

Advanced Hungarian Conversation
Focuses on practical Hungarian conversation. Also practices interpreting communications in specialized fields.

Practical Hungarian
Students will improve their command of modern Hungarian as they practice writing general documents and trade correspondence for practical use.

Hungarian Folk Literature
Focuses on understanding Hungarian folkways through the study of Hungarian tales and legends reflecting traditional Hungarian faith, culture, and historical events.

Studies on Hungarian Society
A sociocultural overview conducted in Hungarian outlining the characteristics and structure of Hungarian society and its unique customs and folkways.

Hungarian Poetry
Studies selected Hungarian poetry by different literary periods.

Introduction to Hungarian Linguistics
Focuses on a general study of Hungarian phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantics.

FLEX Hungarian (1)
As a course that prepares students for the Hungarian FLEX exam, the goal is to improve students' Hungarian listening skills.

FLEX Hungarian (2)
As a course that prepares students for the Hungarian FLEX exam, the goal is to have students practice grammar and vocabulary to improve comprehension skills.

Advanced Hungarian Composition
The focus of this course is to learn the Hungarian literary style, practice sentence structures, and increase vocabulary. Students will also practice writing letters, reports, and research papers.

Current Hungarian
Students will learn strategies for understanding political, economic, social, and cultural articles in Hungarian newspapers and magazines. Students will also practice translation to improve their linguistic skills and gain knowledge of Hungarian studies.

History of Hungarian Literature
The course focuses on the historical development of Hungarian literature. Students will select and read representative examples of poetry, prose writing, drama and novels for each historical period.

Studies on Hungarian Culture
A historical outline of Hungarian literature with a study of cultural characteristics as reflected in music, paintings and other fine arts.

Hungarian Word Formation
Focuses on understanding Hungarian morphological and lexical structure through the study of Hungarian word structures and word formations.

Hungarian Contemporary Literature
Examines contemporary Hungarian literary trends by studying the works of various writers, starting with the Nyugat generation.

Hungarian-Korean Translation Practice
By analyzing Hungarian sentence structures, students will practice Hungarian-Korean translation to improve their translation skills.

Hungarian Novel
Students will read representative Hungarian novels to gain an understanding of the historical context of Hungarian writing and studying their place in literary history.

Hungarian Sentence Analysis
By practicing how to analyze the structures of Hungarian sentences, students improve their Hungarian comprehension and composition skills.

Selected Hungarian Literary Works
Students will read short stories of writers representing each period, and research the background and core themes of literary works.

Hungary Politics & Economics
Studies the changes in political and economic environment of Hungary after it became socialist. Examines the unfolding of political and economic reforms beginning in late 1960’s, the country’s open-door policy and reform and efforts to join the European Union in the 90’s.

A Study on Petofi Sandor
A leading Hungarian poet, Petofi Sandor, made his debut with a new form of folk poetry. He later created outstanding works in the field of lyric poetry and took the lead in the Hungarian civil revolution for independence in Habsburg. His works feature a close connection between literature and reality. His later poems embody his hopes for reform through literature. His works are lyrical and deliver profound messages.

History of Hungarian Language
Examines the development process of Hungarian phonology, morphology, syntax, and vocabulary through a historical study of the Hungarian language.

History of Hungarian (in Hungarian)
Consists of lectures and readings in Hungarian on the history of Hungary.

Hungarian Regional Studies
Examines the history and geography of the various regions of Hungary. Deals with specific issues such as urban studies and preservation of Balaton.

Hungarian Writers
This course will cover the lives and work of Hungarian writers who played an important role in the nation’s history of literature. Through this process, students will learn the writers' views on culture and the world.

Hungarian Drama
Students will research the development of Hungarian drama and identify its main characteristics by translating and analyzing representative works.
