Hankuk University of Foreign Studies has indulged in research and education activities in international and area studies since its foundation, back in 1954. HUFS Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence (HUFS JMCE) is established by the generous support of the European Commission hoping to foster European studies in Korea and to enhance wide range of outreach activities in Korea-EU relations.

The main theme of the Centre (2022-2025) is New Paradigm for Korea-EU Relations. The Centre hopes to serve as a locus for facilitating EU studies by providing support for students and academicians. In affiliation with diverse government agencies and NGOs both home and abroad, the Centre also hosts seminars and conferences with regards to diverse global issues such as security, international cooperation, global value chain, bilateral, regional and global relations between Rok and the EU..

HUFS JMCE strives to establish Korea as a global pivot state and to become a bridge between Korea and the EU promoting mutual understanding and benefits. We highly appreciate your concern and participation. Many thanks.
