Exchange Program

You are eligible to be an exchange student if: - Your home university has a student exchange agreement with HUFS - You are nominated by the exchange coordinator of your home university and you meet the entry requirements ※ We do not accept exchange applications submitted directly by students. International office validation is required.As an exchange student, you will remain enrolled with your home institution and pay tuition fees to your home university. The programs that you undertake may be credited towards your degree. However, it is your responsibility to contact your advisor or exchange coordinator of your home university regarding credit transfer.

What is ICI-ECP Program 

ICI-ECP Education Cooperation Program refers to EU cooperation with Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and the Republic of Korea in the field of higher education and vocational education and training. The program includes regional and bilateral cooperation projects based on joint EU - Partner Countries funding and mutual agreement on the selection of higher education partnerships. 

The ICI-ECP program is part of the Industrialized Countries Instrument (ICI) that promotes cooperation between the European Union and seventeen industrialized and other high-income countries and territories in North America, the Asia-Pacific region and the Gulf region. Based on Article 181A of the Treaty, the ICI contributes to fostering the relations of the European Union (EU) with countries and territories which often share similar values, are important political and trading partners, and play an active role in multilateral for and in global governance.

Eligibility

  - currently enrolled as a full time graduate student at any of EU partner institutions listed above
  - nominated by the program coordinator of your home university

Scholarships

   - Airfare reimbursement up to 1,500 EURO
   - Monthly Allowance of 1,000 EURO
   - Full Tuition Waiver at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies

Students from the EU consortium universities are able to participate in internship programmes internships run by LIG Insurance, the East Asia Institute, the Korea Foundation, and the Hyundai Research Institute. Internship period and application procedure can differ depending on each institution’s work program and availability.
