The Korean language course is open to current university students, university graduates, or those with a minimum of a high school degree who are interested in learning the Korean language and culture.

2. Graduation Certificate from the highest degree attained and transcript

- Students of 21 countries who will study 2 more semester have to submit Credentials report of education(graduation).

- 21 countries : China, The Philippines, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Mongolia, Thailand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, Peru

- Apostille countries : Credentials report of education(graduation) confirmed by Apostille

- Non Apostille countries : Credentials report of education(graduation) confirmed by Embassy

3. Copy of passport (photo page)

4. Letter of reference (An original notarized sponsorship letter)

1. Students who wish to take the Korean language course must apply for a student visa or a training visa (Visa Status: C-3, D-4)

2. The issuing of the C-3 visa takes approximately a week (varies depending on country)

3. If the visa expires during the education period, it is possible to extend the visa in Korea (varies depending on country)

4. Students who come with a tourist visa cannot extend or change the visa status in Korea (varies depending on country) For more information on the admission of Chinese students, please refer to the website or contact the Center for Korean Language and Culture. (

Tuition Fees

Korean Language Regular Course (10 weeks course)

Application Fee ₩60,000 (non-refundable)
Tuition Fee (including field trips and extra curricular activities) ₩1,550,000 (per semester, as of 2015)

Korean language short-term course (4 weeks program)

Tuition Fee (including field trips, extra curricular activities and textbooks) ₩1,050,000 (4 weeks, as of 2015)

1) The application fee (₩60,000) is required for the first semester. No application fee is required from the second semester.

2) Fees must be paid in Korean Won, and must be directly sent to the Center for Korean Language and Culture at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. Fees may be sent by postal money order or bill of exchange
