The ISS program does not provide medical insurance coverage for individual students.
Students or their parents/guardians are responsible for the cost of treatment should any medical emergencies arise.
Students should therefore verify that the insurance policy they carry covers hospitalization and medical care occurring during international travel and sojourns, as well as repatriation to their home country in case of medical emergency.
ISS recommends that supplementary short-term overseas travel insurance be purchased if the student’s regular policy in their home country does not provide international coverage.
