□ 사단법인 한국인도학회 (회장 임근동)는 오는 6월 13일(토) 오후 1시 30분부터 6시까지 경북대학교 우당교육관 101호 및 104호에서 제38차 한국인도학회 정기학술대회를 개최한다.

□ 이번 학술대회의 발표와 토론은 크게 네 개의 패널로 나뉘어 국내외 학자들의 발표와 토론이 진행될 예정이다.

□ 첫 번째 패널에서는 「남아시아의 이슬람: 사상과 언어」이라는 주제 하에 ‘서구 기술과 무슬림 사상’, ‘남아시아 다언어 어휘에 있어서의 신성과 예언’ 등의 세부 주제와 발표가 진행된다.

□ 두 번째 패널에서는 「한국과 인도: 법학과 경영학」라는 주제를 두고 한국과 인도 의 헌법, 기업의 사회적 책임(CSR) 등에 관한 연구 성과들이 발표될 예정이다. 이 패널에서는 ‘한국과 인도의 교류 확대’, ‘기업의 사회적 책임과 기업성과에 관한 연구’ 등의 세부 주제발표와 토론이 진행된다.

□ 세 번째 패널 주제는「텍스트에 나타나는 한국과 인도」로서, ‘분단을 주제로 한 한국어과 힌디어 소설의 비교연구’ 및 ‘한국 식민지 프린트 미디어에서 나타나는 인도의 이미지’에 대한 발표와 토론이 진행이 진행된다.

□ 마지막으로 「인도의 대외정책」을 살펴보는 네 번째 패널에서는 박사학위 과정에 있는 학문후속세대의 발표가 진행될 예정이다. ‘인도의 대 한국 정책’과 ‘인도의 대 중국 정책’을 중심으로 인도의 동방정책과 향후 외교정책 방향에 대한 분석이 심도 깊게 다뤄질 예정이다.

The Korean Society for Indian Studies (KSIS) will hold the 38th Regular Conference on June 13, 2015, at Woodang Educational Hall, Kyungpook National University, Daegu, from 1:30pm to 6:00pm.

The program will begin with an opening speech from the president of KSIS, Professor Geundong Lim, followed by a congratulatory address from Director of Center of Asian Studies of Kyungpook National University, Dr. Daehui Lim.

The conference will include four sessions with scholars and specialists from Korea and abroad.

The theme of the first session is “Islam in South Asia: Ideas and Language,” and consists of two presentations: “Western techniques, Muslim ideas: Love Jihad in the contemporary Hindu nationalist narrative” and “Equating Islams: Divinity and Prophesy in South Asian Multilingual Vocabularies.”

The second session, on the subject of “Korea and India in the Studies of Law and Business Administration” will cover two topics: “Meeting of Korea and India: Within the Constitution of Two Nations” and “Corporate Social Responsibility and Financial Performance: Indian listed firms.”

The theme of third session would be “Studies of Texts on Korea and India.” Two presenters from Jawaharlal Nehru University will present “Comparative Study of Korean and Indian Novels of Partition” and “The Image of India in Korean Colonial Print Media.” 

The last session on India’s Foreign Policies will be delivered by Ph. D candidates in Indian Studies. The topics are “Explaining the Evolution of India’s Korea Policy since the End of World War II” and “India’s Foreign Policy of Balance of Power against China.”
