OOCHILPALGU Co., Ltd., a startup from the HUFS SW-Centered University Project’s SW Startup Program, was selected as a finalist for the Startup Challenge league of the 300 Promising Startup Teams Competition held by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and ICT. Each semester, the SW Startup Program invites SW and non-SW startup aspirants and offers them a hands-on startup program where they build their business through various activities, including special lectures on industry practices, business plan preparation, and entrepreneurial spirit cultivation.

 

Javigation, an HUFS startup team, started its business named “OOCHILPALGU” through the HUFS SW-Centered University Project. With this business, it was selected to receive startup support as a Gyeonggi-based convergence technology-driven college startup from the Advanced Institute of Convergence Technology. It was also selected as a finalist in the 300 Promising Startup Teams Competition, earning certification from the Ministry of Education. This helped Javigation attract investment funding from Korea University’s Research and Business Foundation and Korea Technology Finance Corporation and forge a strategic alliance with the Federation of Korean Industries’ Small and Medium Business Cooperation Center. It is also involved in the HUFS Life Academy Project.

 

OOCHILPALGU has developed and launched its Private Class, which is a 1:1 online job search mentoring service. This service also won the first prize at the National College Students’ Startup Idea Competition. Private Class aims to provide work experience to jobseekers to help them land a job by offering them job task challenges in collaboration with those currently working for large corporations, NGOs, and public organizations. Private Class creates these challenges based on the latest job opening notices, helping college jobseekers build the specific work experience and skills required by companies and build their job portfolio and cover letter.

 

Leveraging the expanding metaverse technology, Private Class runs all job task challenges online and offers a career design class to help students prepare a proper cover letter for the job function of their choice. Furthermore, it provides 1:1 consulting to assist them in creating a competitive job search story and preparing their cover letter based on that story. It plans to develop and offer writing and speech coaching and other programs that can be useful for achieving long-term employment goals.
