On May 26, 2023 (Friday), the HUFS Institute of Russian Studies (Director: Professor Pyo Sang-Yong) held the award ceremony of the 13th National University (Graduate) Student Russian Language Debate Competition at the Embassy of the Russian Federation to South Korea.

 

Co-hosted by the HUFS Institute and the Russian Embassy in Seoul, the competition is an annual event held since 2011 to raise social interest in learning Russian and discover talents in related fields.

 

Held online via Zoom on May 19, 2023 (Friday), under the goal of inspiring students with limited exposure to Russian language training, the 13th National University (Graduate) Student Russian Language Debate Competition limited eligibility to “college (graduate) students with a Russian-speaking stay of less than two years” and restricted students in the graduate course of interpretation and translation from participation as in last year’s competition.
