Editorial Policy of HUFS Global Law Review

To support legal research activities, Law Research Institute of the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies has published the HUFS Global Law Review. The HUFS Global Law Review will be publishing articles on various legal researches in the fields of international, regional and comparative laws. Aiming for the highest position as an international academic law journal, the HUFS Global Law Review strives to enhance the fairness and transparency of the evaluation process as stated below:

1. Submission of Article

(1) There is no time limit for a submitted article to be accepted by the editor-in-chief. Upon receiving the article, the editor-in-chief is to give a certificate of acceptance to the submitter.

(2) The HUFS Global Law Review is open to unsolicited papers. Articles of less than 12,000 words are preferred. Citations in manuscripts must appear in footnotes, not endnotes. Citations should conform as closely as possible to the illustrated examples of citation in the article 8. The publishers are unable to check the accuracy of references and citations and it is the submitter’s responsibility to ensure that all references and citations are correct.

(3) Considering the period of evaluation and convenience in submitting an article, the HUFS Global Law Review allows articles to be submitted through the internet. A submitter should attach a copy of the article with a cover letter including the author's personal information.

* E-mail address: lawri@hufs.ac.kr

2. Selection of Reviewers

(1) The Board of editors recommend three reviewers after an article is submitted.

(2) The reviewers recommended by the board of editors must be confirmed by the editor-in-chief. If the recommended reviewers cannot participate in the evaluation process, another reviewer will be selected as soon as possible.

3. Evaluation Request

(1) For evaluation, the article will be sent to the selected reviewers without the submitter's personal information. Three weeks are given to finalize the evaluation.

(2) The evaluation is to be finalized into four different categories including: accept, accept with revisions, resubmit after revisions and reject.
