Application for 3＋1 Study Abroad Scholarship/ Exchange Student Program

(Please be aware that you can apply for only one program, either 3＋1 or exchange)

 

I. 3＋1 Study Abroad Scholarship for Springl Semester 2023

Country

Countries related to applicants＇ major area

University

Any overseas university which accepts visiting students 

Eligibility

GSIAS Master Student in the first or second semester including those in temporary absence.
*Students in Dept of U-PEACE and international students in Dept of Korean Studies are not allowed to apply.

Tuition Payment

- 3＋1 Study Abroad Students pay tuition fee to the overseas universities. 
- Full or half tuition fee at HUFS will be provided as 3＋1 scholarship to the selected students while studying abroad. (3＋1 students cannot receive additional financial aid or scholarship from HUFS)

Credit Transfer & Study Period 

- Study Abroad Period: One Semester
- Credit Transfer: up to 9 credits
- Students must take graduate courses in order to get credit transfer, but advanced level of undergraduate courses may be allowed to take upon approval of Dept Chair.

Application Deadline

4:00pm, September 15, 2022

* Once selected, students need to contact the university for the admission procedure by themselves.


II. Exchange Program for Spring Semester 2023

- Tuition Fee: Students pay tuition fee at HUFS for the exchange semester. Tuition for the partner university will be waived according to the agreement with our university.

- Exchange Period : one or two semesters

- Credit Transfer : 18 credits maximum

- Application Deadline: 4:00pm, September 15, 2022

(Full list of partner universities can be found at http://oia.hufs.ac.kr/, but priorities are usually given to undergraduate students)
