For me, HUFS YL-TESOL course was not just about learning different ways of teaching English, but it was also about continuously contemplating my final goal as an English teacher.

    While I was taking the course, I only got about 4 to 5 hours of sleep since I was working as a teacher at an academy and also as a private tutor. But thanks to my loving professors and classmates, I was able to overstep my own boundaries and enjoy the comradeship in the process. And I have to say, I’ve never been happier.

    Countless planning of lesson plans, reading textbooks, making class materials, teaching in front of professors and classmates were indeed challenging and required efforts particularly because COVID-19 was not making it any easier, but needless to say, this was what I most needed. Thanks to all this training, I feel my classmates and I are equipped with sufficient knowledge and experience to prepare for the post COVID-19 education era as well. Because of COVID-19, I had to teach on Zoom at my academy but I had no idea where to start. But now, thanks to the YL-TESOL course, teaching on Zoom is so much more fun and I even learned to make fancy PowerPoints and even create online games for kids.

    If you ask me if I will go through all that again one more time, without doubt, my answer is yes. If you are hesitant about taking the YL-TESOL program, I assure you that taking the course will be the best choice you make. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

    I just want to say to all my professors and classmates that I appreciate everything. For those of you who are reading this waiting to take the course, I wish you the best of luck!
