9:00 - 10:30 Opening Ceremony and Orientation to ISS for all students

9:00 - 9:15 Students, faculty and staff assemble

9:15 - 9:30 Welcoming remarks

9:30 - 9:55 Introduction of ISS faculty

9:55 - 10:05 Introduction of Office of Int’l Student Services (OISS) and ISS Staff

10:05 - 10:10 Introduction of ISO Staff

10:10 - 10:45  General orientation to ISS / ISS POLICIES, etc.

11:00 - 11:35 Students meet Period 1 professors for class introduction and receive syllabus (all classes meet on the 2nd floor of Bldg 2, Multimedia Education Center Bldg- ‘MB’)

11:45 - 12:20 Students meet Period 2 professors for class introduction and receive syllabus (all classes meet on the 2nd floor of Bldg 2, Multimedia Education Center Bldg- ‘MB’)

12:30 - 1:30 Joint lunch for all ISS faculty and students

(Faculty Cafeteria, 2nd floor, Faculty Building- above Woori Bank)

1:00-ish Faculty Meeting (Faculty Cafeteria- reserved seating section of the cafeteria)

1:45 - 2:20 Students meet Period 3 professors for class introduction and receive syllabus (all classes meet on the 2nd floor of Bldg 2, Multimedia Education Center Bldg- ‘MB’)

2:30 - 3:05 Students meet Period 4 professors for class introduction and receive syllabus (all classes meet on the 2nd floor of Bldg 2, Multimedia Education Center Bldg- ‘MB’)

2:30 - 4:00 Int'l students meet Period 4 Korean language professors for Korean language placement test, class introduction and receive syllabus

(all classes meet on the 2nd floor of Bldg 2, Multimedia Education Center Bldg- ‘MB’)


International students taking Korean language classes:

Return to Multimedia Building after lunch for placement testing!! Korean Language Placement Testing on 2nd floor of Bldg 2/MB. Rooms 202-203-204-205. Two rooms -written exam; two rooms -oral exam.

 

2:004:00 Language Placement tests for Korean Language classes.
(The test will be both oral and written. Even if you cannot speak, read, or write Korean,
you still must come to the testing place)

 

AFTER CLASSES:  ISO-organized activities

ISO Team Leader 2013:  Ms. Goeun Lee

4:00 - 5:00 Orientation for International Students organized by the ISO student volunteers; Information on subway system, communication and mobile phones, campus tour, etc. 

Campus Walking Tour will include: University museum, Minerva Complex, President Obama Room, bank, post office, stationary store, student cafeteria, computer access, wireless locations, library with its reservation system, check-in & check-out system, media center, close-by off-campus restaurants, coffee shops, copy shops, and other 'places of interests.’

 

Thursday Evening:    ISO ice breaker for international and HUFS students


Friday, July 19, 2013   7:30am    Departure for Boryeong  (Field Trip #1)
