Global Exchange Scholarship funded by Hankuk University of Foreign Studies

 

Up to twenty exchange scholarships are to be offered to exchange students with outstanding academic merit from our international partner universities each semester from Spring 2010 by Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. The scholarship will be worth KRW 1,000,000 (one-off payment) per semester.

Eligibility & Conditions

 

The scholarships will be awarded to applicants from our international partner universities who are accepted for admission for our exchange program.

a. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit 
    Applicants should submit a copy of their official transcript and a reference letter by a faculty member at their
    home institution.
    - Minimum requirement for a cumulative GPA is set to 2.7 out of 4.0
    - A reference letter should show the applicant's outstanding ability.
b. The scholarship is not available to students already on exchange program

c. This scholarship is not available to students who will only pursue Korean Language course.

d. The scholarship is not available to students who will receive other financial supports from us or other 
     Korea's educational organizations.
    - From HUFS : Housing or monthly living allowance, etc
    - From outside : NIIED, DUO Korea, Korean Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, etc

e. University / National quota may apply

f. The number of scholarship holders may be changed by availability.

Application Procedures

 

To apply for the program, applicant must download, complete and submit the completed application form from this site and a hard copy of the following documents to the appropriate address below by the scholarship closing dates.

Application should be written in English and will not be returned to the applicant.
