2012 Intensive Korean Language Course (Summer Term)

  - For textbooks, exams or co-curricular field trip schedules, please refer to the information below

  - Certificate of completion and official transcript will be provided at the center office right after the closing ceremony on August 14, 2012. Please note that you are required to collect them personally by visiting the office if you should submit to your home university for credit transfer, as our international office will send your official transcript for the regular semester program to your home university.

1) Issue of Students ID Cards

To use library and student Cafeteria, ID card is needed. ID card will be issued from 13 Jun. 2012(Wed.)

If you have not attached your photo on the application form, please bring your photo to the administrative office. (Room 705, Main Bldg.)

※ Except exchange students, government invitation students.

2) Issue of Certificates : Submit the application form to the office.(Room 705, Main Bldg.)

(Fee : 1,000 won, certificate of transcript, studying, graduate)

 

3. Information during the Course

1) Exam

* Midterm exam : 06 Jul. 2012

* Final exam : 10 Aug. 2012(Fri), 13 Aug. 2012(Mon)

2) Attendance and Absence evaluation

* Attendance and Absence are recorded by the hour basis and those who miss 20% of class hours will fail for the level. ( More than 41hours / 200hours)

3) Special activity will be notified later.

4) Outdoor classwill be notified later.

5) Graduation ceremony : 14 Aug. 2012(Tue)

6) Requirement for Completion of Each Level

* Above the average score of 70 (on an average of midterm and final exams and above the average score of 60 per subject)

* Absence rate of less than 20% class hours (Total class hours are 200 hours)

* Scholarship will be given every semester for re-registration students.

(based on score, attendance, attitude.). open only to fee paying students

7) Issue of Certificate

* Certificates will be given to students who meet the requirements for completion of course.

8) Certificate of Alien Registration and Application for visa extension

{Immigration office is in charge}

* Certificate of Alien Registration (for staying more than 90 days in korea) : Application form, a certificate of studying, passport, 1 photo, fee KRW 10,000

* Visa Extension

: a certificate of enrollment(including attendance rate), passport, certificate of alien registration(for extension), bank statements( minimum 3 million won), fee KRW 30,000

* Visa change (from C3 to D4)

: a certificate of enrollment(including attendance rate), passport, 1 photo, bank statements( minimum 3 million won), fee KRW 60,000

We are going to carry out the process of the issue of Alien registration and visa extensions. Please send all the required documents to the office after one week of the beginning of each term. (this procedure is only for regular students, not for the exchange students and carried out only for the notified period.) * Certificate of Alien Registration : 1 week after the start of the course * Visa Extension : 3 weeks before expiration of Visa period Attention! Absence rate of less than 80% class hours : will be warned 1 time After 2 times of warning : will not be permitted Visa-extension
