Knowledge is not only in a book. We can learn from the environment around us.

Studying in Kenya gave me lots of valuable experiences.

There are so many differences between Korean and Kenya in all part of society. So sometimes those differences make me angry. But through those experiences, I could more and more understand about life style and culture of Kenyan people and I’ve learned trying to accept Kenya which they are without my own values and standards.

 

I've studied at University of Nairobi in Kenya, since January, 2013.

I spent my third semester with studying Sociology in University of Nairobi.

University of Nairobi is the best University among East Africa. I could make many various friends who came from the other countries in Africa and heard about diverse Africa from them.

 

It is first time to come to Africa.

When I told to my parents and friends that I was planning to go to Kenya and study, they tried to dissuade me from going to Africa. It's because Africa is the unknown and dangerous world to them.

 

At first I also had a kinds of afraid with studying in abroad, especially Africa, because I have no idea about that. But now I can confidently say from personal experience in Kenya that studying in abroad made me grow up a lot. I could more understand about Africa and became more interested in Africa through it.

 

Now, I decided to study more in Kenya. This is another moment to seize the opportunity for me.

 

I strongly recommend having experiences in abroad through 3+1 program.

3+1 program is very useful program to student who is studying certain area.

I've learned what I couldn't have learned from books through living in Kenya.

I believe that it will improve in every ways of your life.
