Internship at POSCO Research Institute

I’ve worked at POSRI as intern for about 6 months. When I decided to apply to POSRI internship, however, I was concerning which one is best way for me, internship or 3+1 course. Because I went to India, I would have to spend much time to adjusting many things which are language, food, culture. Finally, I chose the internship and applied POSRI internship.POSRI is Research Institute of POSCO, and it supports POSCO business’s all the things.

My responsibility was to research issue related to India and ASEAN countries. So I chose and developed issue and publishing this for POSCO family. It is helpful for POSCO family to decide whether invest or not. And I was participation project “Entry Strategic of South Asia Countries”. Working with this project and organization, I have gained experience collecting and analyzing data. Moreover, I have also learned about skill of dealing with data. By working with the POSRI, I was able to experience the works of the POSCO, having the responsibility of providing the important information.

POSRI was under no pressure of having to analysis issues, but focused more on practical works. It was a great opportunity for me to learn both real work and academic work in this area. Furthermore, I had the opportunity to contact with people from diverse backgrounds, especially area specialist who took part in investment of specific area.

Although short in time, the experience that I have gained at POSRI was invaluable. I really appreciate POSRI. AndI can say my last 6 months were fantastic. Now I have confidence which is studying Indian economy. I recommend that you have to work as internship to company. You can share your opinion and knowledge with the researcher or responsible person in charge.
