Hyeyoung Shin is a Ph D candidate in public administration at Seoul National University. Her research area spans comparative pulic administration, social policy for North Korean immigrants and Korean diaspora and  reunification policy. She received a bachelor's degree in English laguage education from Korea University and a master's degree from Seoul National University graduate school  of public administration. She had been an English teacher at Namgang High school and arranged a mentoring program for North Korean students. Now she is lecturing at Myoungji College. 

 

Casey Lartigue is an advocate and activist for freedom who has gained recognition in both South Korea and the United States. He is now based in South Korea where he is co-founder and International Director of the Teach North Korean Refugees Global Education Center along with South Korean researcher Lee Eunkoo. He is the 2017 winner of the “Special Contribution” Award presented by the Hansarang Rural Cultural Foundation and the 2018 winner of the Challenge Korea (Global) Award. He is co-author of the book "Educational Freedom in Urban America: Brown v. Board after Half a Century." Lartigue received a bachelor’s degree from the Harvard University Extension School and a master’s degree from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education. He is now a Goodwill Ambassador for the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
