<국문초록>

 

현재 안데스 지역의 정치 사회적 운동이 국내 학계의 관심을 끌고 있고, 국내의 몇몇 중남미 지역학 연구가들이 다양한 관점에서 연구를 진행하고 있다. 본고에서 연구자는 이 운동의 철학적 배경을 사회과학의 관점이 아니라 인문과학적 관점에서 연구하고자 한다. 이는 연구자가 윤리학적 관점보다는 형이상학적 관점에서 본고를 접근할 것임을 의미한다.

형이상학적 분석을 위해 연구자는 존재론, 인식론, 논리학, 윤리학 같은 아리스토텔레스가 세워놓은 전통적 철학 카테고리를 사용할 것이다. 물론 “안데스 민속 철학”은 서구철학과 전혀 다른 철학적 바탕을 가지고 있기 때문에 이러한 서구의 전통적 카테고리에 들어맞지 않을 것이며, 결국 양 사고체계사이에 대화 내지 철학적 “plolygue”가 필요하다.

몇몇 서양 철학자들은 이러한 차이점에 바탕을 두고 “안데스 민속 철학”을 철학이라고 부르는 것에 반대한다. 그러나 하비에르 라호(Javeier Lajo)나 J. 에스터만(Josef Estermann)은 보다 광의의 의미에서 “안데스 민속 철학”을 철학으로 간주한다. 연구자가 볼 때, 양측의 의견 모두 타당성이 있다. 그러나 동, 서양철학 그리고 “안데스 민속 철학”이 대화를 나누기 위해서, “안데스 민속 철학”이 철학으로 정의되는 것이 타당하리라 본다. 왜냐하면 “민속 철학”은 일반적으로 철학보다 열등한 것으로 생각되어 철학과 “민속 철학”은 대화가 불가능하기 때문이다.

<영문초록>

 

Currently the social and political movement in the Andean region brings our attention, so that some Korean critics of Latin American Sudies have begun and published investigations with a many political point of view. In this dissertation, the researcher wants to investigate the philosophical foundation of this movement, not in the academic field of social sciences but in that of humanities. This means that the researcher would approach the topic with the metaphysical rather than ethical basis.

To analyze metaphysically, the researcher will use the Aristotelian categories as ontology , epistemology, logic and ethics. But surely, the Andean ethno- philosophy could not be adjusted in such categories because the philosophical basis of that is completely different from Western philosophy. Hence a dialogue or philosophical polylogue between the two systems is required.

Some Western philosophers reject to call Andean thought as a philosophy based on this difference, but other philosophers as Javier Lajo and Josef Estermann call it as a philosophy in the broader sense of philosophy. In the point of view of the researcher, both sides have their own reasons. However, in order to dialogue between Western philosophy, Eastern and Andean ethno-philosophy, it is better termed as a philosophy because it is impossible to dialogue between philosophy and ethno-philosophy that is considered generally inferior to philosophy.
