Japanese studies 201748044 Minjung Lee

I studied in University of Tsukuba last semester, where in Japan. It was my first time to study abroad in Japan, though I majored Japanese studies. I think it was really good opportunity to cast away a prejudice that I have about Japanese society. And at the same time, I also can see Korean society more objectively. I didn’t appreciate Korean society objectively before, but I could see the Korean society’s pros and cons when I was in japan.

I attend many club in University of Tsukuba, to learn Japanese culture and also Japanese society. And all of them, I remain the ‘tea ceremony club’, what I could feel connectivity between the Japanese modern cultures and the traditional cultures.

Also, in university of Tsukuba, there were many students from various countries. I could attend many exchange program with the students from abroad. And through the exchange, I could see how much prejudice I had to each country. Studying in university of Tsukuba was really good opportunity to me to expand my view of the world.
