I traveled to Prague with my friend in 2009. Although I spent only 2 days there, the city fascinated me and the strong impression of the city had left in my mind for a long time. After a few years, I could get a chance to study there through 3+1 program of GSIAS.

I arrived to Czech republic February 1st of 2013. Prague was quiet and peaceful, there was only few tourists because of cold weather. But the city was still beautiful and even I liked the calm atmosphere of the city.

I started to study at Anglo-American University(AAU) in Prague from 11th of February. Before then, I had to find a place to live during the semester, because AAU doesn't have a dormitory for students. Fortunately, I could rent a room close from AAU and famous Charles Bridge.

Anglo-American University (AAU) is the oldest private university in the Czech Republic. AAU is an educational institution that would combine the best of American and British academic principles with Central European traditions.

Many AAU students from Europe and North America. I was the only korean or even sometimes the only asian in my classes. The students of AAU were international, they have always tried to understand the culture of other friends. I could learn many good things from them. Their enthusiastic attitude in debates stimulated me to participate in the classes more actively.

I took czech, russian, international relations classes. Especially, czech language is similar with russian, I could learn it easier than other english-speaking students. Thankfully my professor of czech and russian classes Eva Eckert has helped me a lot for everything, and I could successfully finish the semester at AAU.

If someone who wants to study in passionate academic environment and also to experience the city called 'The Jewel of Central Europe', I recommend him or her to study at AAU.

I will never forget the beautiful memories in Prague forever. I really appreciate professor Wan seok Hong, professor Eva Eckert, and GSIAS of HUFS.
