I've never imagined to go to France, but I stayed there for 11 months. What I have learned in France changed my whole life.

 

    In Science Po Bordeaux, I met many students who have enthusiasm and understanding about their study. While they were eating or having coffee, they discussed about international relations and politics and shared their opinions. It was so impressed and wanted to be with them, however, there was a language barrier. When French talked to me, they noticed that I could not speak French and walked away. So it was very limit to have friends and thoroughly understand about France and French. That was what I started to learn French.

 

    For first 5 months, I've used only English. After I started to learn French, I could meet my kind French friends. While I hung out with them, they explained their thoughts, history and culture. They did not expect to have returns and just give favors to me. For me who are accustomed to mathematics between people, it was so special experience. They treated me as such a good person and I wanted to be. It was a great opportunity to learn how to show kindness.

 

    Finally, I really thank to stay in Bordeaux. Bordeaux is a beautiful city which is full of 18th century architectures and world-class vineyards. I used to walk by the river "Gironde" across the city. Having just sandwich and a bottle of wine, I could enjoy beauty of city with sunset or night view as talking with my friends for hours.
