한국외대 인도연구소 HK+사업단 국제학술대회 안내

□ 한국외대 인도연구소 HK+사업단(소장 김찬완, 국제지역대학원 인도·아세안 학과 교수)은 5월 26일 ‘인도의 대전환: 도전과 현실 (Great Transition in India: Challenges and Realities)’ 라는 주제로 국제학술대회를 개최한다.

□ 이번 학술대회는 코로나19 여파로 인한 사회적 거리두기에 동참하고자 온라인으로 진행될 예정이다.

□ 한국연구재단의 후원으로 진행되는 이번 국제학술대회는 김찬완 한국외국어대학교 인문한국플러스 (HK+) 사업단 단장의 개회사로 시작될 예정이며, 전 세계 6개국 (한국, 인도, 미국, 영국, 일본, 싱가포르)에서 활동하고 있는 13명의 인도-남아시아 지역 연구자들의 발발표 및 토론으로 진행된다.

□ 한편 이번 국제학술대회는 인도연구소가 수행중인 <인도의 대전환과 인도학의 한국적 재해석: 인도 지역연구의 세계적 거점 구축 (Great Transition in India: A Korean Perspective on Indian Studies)> 이라는 한국연구재단 인문한국플러스 (HK+) 사업 연구 아젠다 일환으로 진행된다.

2021 International Conference

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to our annual conference titled “Great Transition in India: Challenges and Realities”, which will be held on 26 May 2021. This conference organized by the Institute of Indian Studies (IIS) in Hankuk University of Foreign Studies will explore some of the key questions on India in transition that continue to demand debates among scholars and experts. Our conference will provide a platform to discuss multiple changes in India with thirteen distinguished scholars and experts from six different countries.

The May 26 conference aims to exchange perspective and understanding of India’s rise, the causes and effects of India’s approaches to economic development, and the societal changes that embrace divergent readings on history, philosophy and languages. Our one-day virtual conference is part of our annual conference series of IIS, connecting international expertise on India and audiences and enabling participants and attendees to engage in open beyond-the-border academic discussions.
