제5회 논문공모전 수상자

한국외국어대학교 인도연구소(소장 김찬완)는 1995년 설립된 이래 인도를 포함한 남아시아 지역에 대한 종합적이고 체계적인 연구를 수행해오고 있습니다.

인도 남아시아 지역학에 대한 대학생·대학원생들의 관심을 제고하며, 인도 남아시아 지역학의 성장을 주도할 수 있는 창의적이고 미래지향적인 청년 인재를 발굴하고 학문적 발전을 장려하기 위하여 인도연구소는 해마다 논문공모전을 실시하고 있습니다.

올해도 제5회 논문공모전을 개최한바 최종 8편(대학원생 4편/ 대학생 4편)의 수상작이 결정되어 아래와 같이 공지합니다.

■ 대학원생

○ 최우수상(1편): 상장 및 상금 200만원

* Do Drivers of Labor Force Participation Differ for Male and Female in the Rural and Urban Labor Markets in India？ (박원빈)

○ 우수상(1편): 상장 및 상금 100만원

* India’s intervention in Nepal: The rise of Anti-Indian Nationalism among Nepalese (Shakya Manju)

○ 장려상(2편): 상장 및 상금 50만원

* 카슈미르 지역의 세력균형에 관한 연구: 라다크 분쟁 이후 생겨난 세력균형 변화에 대한 이익균형 분석 (황인수)

* Taming the Tiger, The elephant way: The India China issue and the curious case of Sri Lanka (Nandini Acharya & Abhishek Mohan Goel)

■ 대학생

○ 최우수상(1편): 상장 및 상금 200만원

* 초기 인도불교에서 무아론과 윤회설의 양립 가능성: 김진의 무아윤회 비판에 대한 반박 (서재호)

○ 우수상(1편): 상장 및 상금 100만원

* 인도 유망한 산업 ‘화훼’ - 다른 소비문화로 보는 해외 공급처 가능성 (김수호)

○ 장려상(2편): 상장 및 상금 50만원

* 인도 교육 어퍼머티브 액션의 한계와 극복에 대한 논의 : 한국의 기회균형특별전형을 바탕으로 (김선우 & 남주현)

* 인도 가공식품 시장 트렌드 (공혜정)

※ 상금은 세금 공제 후 지급됩니다.

The Announcement of Winners and Awards Ceremony

of The 5th India·South Asia Graduate/Undergraduate Thesis Competition

Since its establishment in 1995, Institute of Indian Studies (IIS) of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) has been conducting comprehensive and systematic research on South Asia including India.

To raise awareness of India and South Asia on regional studies and to encourage the development of creative and future oriented young talent who will lead the growth of regional studies in India and South Asia and to promote academic development, for the past five years, IIS has held the thesis competition for college and graduate students every year.

This year, the fifth thesis competition was held. The winners of the 5th thesis competition have been decided and will be announced as follows.

■ Graduate

○ Grand Award (1): certificate with two million Korean won (2,000,000)

* Do Drivers of Labor Force Participation Differ for Male and Female in the Rural and Urban Labor Markets in India？ (Park Won-bin)

○ Excellence Award (1): certificate with one million Korean won (1,000,000)

* India’s intervention in Nepal: The rise of Anti-Indian Nationalism among Nepalese (Shakya Manju)

○ Commendation Award (2): certificate with five hundred thousand Korean won (500,000)

* Taming the Tiger, The elephant way: The India China issue and the curious case of Sri Lanka (Nandini Acharya/ Abhishek Mohan Goel)

* A study on the Balance of Power in Kashmir: An Analysis of the Balance of Interest on the Changes in the Balance of Power in the aftermath of the Ladakh (Hwang In-soo)

■ Undergraduate

○ Grand Award (1): certificate with two million Korean won (2,000,000)

* The compatibility of Anatman and reincarnation theory in early Indian Buddhism: refutation of Kim Jin’s criticism of Anatman reincarnation (Seo Jae-ho)

○ Excellence Award (1): certificate with one million Korean won (1,000,000)

* Promising ‘Floriculture Industry’ in India – Possibility of an overseas supplier as a different consumption culture (Kim Su-ho)

○ Commendation Award (2): certificate with five hundred thousand Korean won (500,000)

* A Discussion on the Limitations and Overcoming of Affirmative Action in Indian Education: Based on the Special selection for Balancing Opportunities in Korea (Kim Seon-woo/ Nam Ju-hyeon)

* Indian Processed Food Industry trends (Gong Hye-jeong)

※ The prize money is paid by deducting the tax bills.

※ Congratulations to the winners, and we would like to express deep encouragement to the other applicants who did not win this award. The thesis competition is held every year, so please try again next time. The 6th thesis competition will be announced in May next year.

The awards ceremony for the 5th thesis competition is as follows
