The HUFS JMCE(led by Director Kim SiHong) held a seminar on June 13 (Tuesday) at 1:00 PM in the lecture hall of the Faculty Hall of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, inviting Maria Castillo Fernandez, Ambassador of the EU to RoK, and Yoon SunGu, Ambassador of RoK to the EU, Belgium, and NATO. The seminar, held in commemoration of the 10th Korea-EU Summit, was held under the theme of “The Future of Korea-EU Partnership.”

Ambassador Maria Castillo Fernandez introduced the results of the Korea-EU summit held in 2023 based on the past relationship between Korea and the EU. She particularly emphasized strengthening EU-ROK cooperation in the fields of Green Partnership, Security Cooperation and Digital Partnership.

Ambassador Yoon SunGu noted that Korea＇s perception in Europe has risen while assessing the current state of Korea-EU relations. Through the 10th Korea-EU summit, he emphasized value-based strategic partnership, strengthening of security and defense cooperation, and launching the Green Partnership as major achievements.
