Psychological Counseling for International Students
“Counseling is a gift for me”
International students enrolling in HUFS can get counseling in both English and Chinese. Students can have a meeting with the counselor online or by visiting the center.
- Application Process: Application is done by email. We will send a counseling application form after checking the email.

▶ English counseling available day: Tuesday, Friday
▶ Chinese counseling available day: Thursday
- Personal Counseling: Personal counseling helps students to adjust to healthy and satisfying campus life by solving their psychological difficulties. Counseling is conducted privately with a professional counselor 50 minutes per session once a week for 12 times in total.
- Group Counseling: Group counseling deals with more general concerns such as relationships, adjustment, academic stress etc. It is conducted with a group of students interested in each topic. Group counseling is a highly effective method of counseling in a way it is composed of a group of students who have the same interest which make it easier for participants to bond and to exchange information.

- When you want to express your feelings or Thoughts naturally
② Relationship
- When you want to know how to have a good relationship
- When you have trouble making friends
- When there is a conflict in the family relationship
③ Emotion
- When you are depressed, nervous, or anxious
- When you feel easily upset or confused
- When a feeling of failure or helplessness is severe
④ Academy and career aptitude
- When you cannot concentrate on your studies or when you are very anxious and nervous before the exam
- When you are troubled because your major is not suitable for your aptitude.
- When you are worried about your future career
⑤ School life and cultural adaptation
- When if is difficult to adapt due to cultural differences
- When you are experiencing various difficulties in studying abroad.
- When you have emotional difficulties due to separation from your family.
